ACCREDITATIONS

CCTV SYSTEMS

The SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board) is the leading Independent third-party Certification Body that offers a wide range of schemes for installers of CCTV security, Intruder Alarms, Access Control and fire throughout the UK. Their aim is to promote high standards within these sectors and provide recognition for companies who are accredited with the SSAIB.

Becoming a member of the SSAIB isn’t easy and companies who are awarded the accreditation have to pass a long list of criteria (and an audit) before they are approved. This ensures that SSAIB approved companies are skilled, competent and worthy of the SSAIB accreditation.

INTRUDER ALARM SYSTEMS

SSAIB’s remit as a certification body is to protect the interests of the consumer (e.g. purchasers, specifiers, and end users.)

This is achieved by requiring registered organisations to meet criteria appropriate to the services they provide. For example, insurance and screening of personnel have, and implement, a complaints procedure. In addition, all services provided by registered organisations must comply with the requirements of international, European or British Standards or SSAIB Codes of Practice as appropriate. This helps the end user buy with confidence knowing that the company is qualified to carryout the work they require.
